One of the first industry specific toolsets developed for the docuMAP
application is for environmental investigation, evaluation, and project
management. This includes the addition of several map features that are
specific to the environmental industry such as a groundwater monitoring wells
and remediation systems. In addition, a comprehensive analytical and
field parameters database was developed to upload and download laboratory data
to and from the application. This database is linked automatically to
visual site features where the data was field collected for further spatial
analysis and site decision-making.
After choosing a location on a map and querying out a specific chemical, depth,
and date range, you can graph concentration or water level trends over time.
All these environmental toolset-specific functions operate seamlessly within
the secure
docuMAPTM
platform where access is controlled down to each user, feature, and file.

Benefits:
Project information
is available anywhere real-time, even on-site
through wireless access.
Make changes to the
site map from the field and immediately notify all
project participants.
Manage more
environmental sites with fewer resources.
Directly store,
evaluate, and print analytical data imported from the
laboratory database to reduce errors and cost.
Evaluate field
parameter data effortlessly anywhere.
Real-time
communication between managers and consultants.
Managers own and
control all documents and their access.
All information is
organized visually by geography and is further cross-
referenced, making decision-making quick and easy.
Ability to data-mine
between projects.
Map Features
The
following visual Map features are available with this toolset:
Dispenser Islands, Underground Storage
Tanks (USTs), Boreholes,
Monitoring Wells, and Remediation Systems.
Several database fields attributed to each new map feature.
Ability to assign user View/Create/Edit/Delete security privileges.
Analytical
Database
Pre-defined parameters for over 250 Chemicals of Concern.
Pre-defined database structure that accommodates ASCII CSV imports
and exports.
Flexible database structure accommodates soil, sediment, surface
water,and groundwater media.
Secure and expandable Oracle SpatialTM 9i platform.
Field Parameter
Database
Pre-defined database structure that accommodates ASCII CSV imports
and exports.
Flexible database structure accommodates the following field
parameters: ORP (millivolts), DO (UG/L),
pH, Turbidity (ntu),
Conductivity (microsiemens), Temperature
(C), Depth to Water (feet),
and Depth to Free Product (feet).
Secure and expandable Oracle SpatialTM 9i platform.
Graphing
Capabilities
Users can query select locations or visually choose them directly off the
map.
After selecting a specific chemical, depth, date range, and method to
handle non-detect results, an X-Y graph is
created automatically.
Queried data sets can be easily downloaded and evaluated further
in a spreadsheet.
